Each team member's creation has been inspired by something related to the holiday season. Diane Louise is here today to continue our Christmas Inspiration Celebration with this wonderful card inspired by her favourite classic Christmas carol...

http://dianesfavouritecards.blogspot.co.uk/

Diane Louise chose When Santa Got Stuck Up The Chimney as her favourite classic Christmas carol. Here is her reason:
"When I was younger during December time, myself, my sister and our friends used to sing this carol all the time and also during assembly times when I was in infant/junior school too. We all loved it and nowadays it brings back very lovely nostalgic memories for me. Just in case you dont know the carol, here is the first verse...

When Santa got stuck up the chimney, he began to shout
You girls and boys wont get any toys
If you don't pull me out
My beard is black
There's soot in my sack
My nose is tickling too!
When Santa got stuck up the chimney
A-choo, A-choo, A-choo.
"

Diane Louise has used #8121 Santa for her card.

  1. I just love the Christmas Carol sung by Nat King Cole "The Christmas Song" or better known as Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire. I just love it and play the cd every Christmas season. It marks the beginning of the holidays for me.

  2. I love Christmas music and have a lot of favourites! However, my all-time favourite is Mitch Miller's "Must be Santa!" It's such a fun song - I love to sing along! Second favourite is "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas" by Gayla Peevey, another fun song to which I enjoy singing along! My Christmas would not be complete without hearing these songs several times and of course singing along every time! Diane's card is super cute! She picked another great song!

  3. My favourite for this type of carol is ' We wish you a merry Christmas!
As a teacher the children always enjoyed this especially the verse where they could stamp their feet and say 'We won't go until we've got some'.

  4. Mine is a combo of so many....with my childhood upbringing "Joy to the World" would be my first choice, however my favorite is... "Santa Baby by Eartha Kitt". I just love the music and upbeat plus....I've been really good this year. LOL...hugs, Lori m

  6. I have never heard of this Christmas carol but it sounds like such a fun one. I'll have to YouTube it. Wonderful card too. I love big sentiments like that! This is a tough question to have to boil my favorites down to only one. I guess I'll go with Silent Night. The true meaning of Christmas should always shine through!

  8. Hark the Herald Angels Sing because everyone can sing this! ;) I also love Dona Nobis Pacem...Grant Us Peace. Not sure this is really a Christmas song, but it is very popular at Christmastime. I'm all about peace....when I'm not arguing with someone! hahaha
