Freebie Friday: Ornaments

Hello everyone!  I'm hoping that your Christmas was wonderful; full of family, fun and love!  Seems like it took forever for December 25th to get here and now it's gone...

We don't have any snow in the valley here but it's snowing up on the mountains and ski/snow board/snow shoeing/cross country ski areas.  The frosty topped mountains look so pretty.

It's time for another Freebie for you... I have the ornaments for you, as my choice...

We have many days of celebration with different cultures and religions so it seems fitting to showcase some ornaments.  You could colour each one with some glitz, or use paper piecing, or even if you're inclined doodle/tangle the shapes... seems quite a few options, huh?

Hope you enjoy the image and have fun with it...

All my best!  Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Freebie Friday: Little Tree

Hi everyone....  I hope this finds you well.  It's a busy time since there is only a few days left before the holidays.  I'm, as usual, behind on things... seems like that's been my finish to this year more so than being ahead!

I've got a cute Little Tree for you today... I hope you like it...

I love it's simplicity and upon writing this, I've got the image done but not the card.  Pulling a longer work shift today thru a wrench into things...

Please enjoy the image and I'll post the completed card once I'm home from work...finger's crossed that I can have a moment to finish and post...

Happy Holidays...

Sandy S

Phew!  I got it done... finally

Here's my card...

Scribbles Designs Challenge #24
'Tis the Season!
With the holiday hoopla in full swing, we thought that it would be the perfect time for doing a holiday inspired picture inspiration challenge.  The great thing about pictures is that one person can be moved by one aspect and another individual may see something totally different.  So, whether you are inspired by the colours, the shapes, or the objects themselves within this particular picture, it doesn't matter.  This month it is all in the eye of the beholder.

Freebie Friday: Drink

How has your week been? Have you had a good one? Glad that it's Friday? Yup me too! Because not only is it the weekend I get to share a card with you guys as well. Today's is a bit late because I am currently writing this post on a train to Manchester to see one of my fave bands but this is really a bit of a birthday present for my Jono! And we have a B&B booked to stay the night which mean that we can go for a few drinks which inspired me to make this weeks card using a image that Sandy has used a few weeks ago but because of the versatility of digital images you can use the same images in different ways. Here's this weeks image...

I love that glass and straw. I knew exactly how I was going to use this image! Inspired by fruity drinks. Here's my card.

I hope that you have a fab weekend and I shall see you next week!

Winners!!! Challenge #22 Fall Impressions Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog

Winners!!!
 Challenge #22
Fall Impressions
Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog

Thank you to all who entered the Fall Impressions challenge!!

We challenged our DT and all the followers to have fun with Fall Impressions....
In most of North America, we are firmly entrenched in the middle of fall.  What is so wonderful about this time of year, is that there are many different things going on.  Not only do you have the bright colours associated with the change of the season but there is also Halloween coming up; and, while Thanksgiving has just passed for those of us in Canada, it has yet to hit in the US.  This gives you lots of ideas to choose from.  However, this month we have another double challenge for you.  Not only do we want to see a fall themed creation, BUT we also want to see some embossing on your project.  Now if you don't have any equipment to emboss, it is okay to use pre-embossed papers.  As long as there is embossing of some nature on your project, and of course it is fit into the fall theme, it will qualify for this challenge.  So how about you impress us with your creations!

Looks like you all had fun with the Fall Impressions theme on your card or project....and we received awesome cards .. It was great to see all entries and so enjoyable viewing and visiting the blog posts...

We changed up our rules a bit and if you entered using a Scribbles Designs image, you received 2 entries per project and there was no limit to how many you could enter.  The Design Team had fun choosing their favorites!

 Here we go!

Freebie Friday - Two for one

Oh my gosh I can not believe I forgot to post my card for last week! So to apologise I have got two images for you this week! I have been getting into the autumn spirit, I have pulled my winter coat out of the closet and the hat and scarves have also come out out as well. But as promised, do you remember me saying that I was going to dress up as Dr Who for Halloween (which feels like ages ago) well here is the picture of my team at work. I'm on the far left.

It was such a fun day at work and we won the prize for best dressed! Any way on to this weeks images. Like I said I have two for you this week. So here they are!

I started by printing these guys off on to some printer paper and then traced them onto some water colour paper. Using my Tim Holtz pens I coloured them in, I tried to make sure you could see what colour pens I used.

Once I finished faffing with them I just kept adding layers of colour until Ii was happy with the look and then I cut them out.

Aren't they pretty! I forgot to take a picture of Hoot before I cut him out but here is a picture of the colours I used on him.

Once I got everything cut out it was just a matter of sticking everything down. I did once last check over where I wanted everything to go.

Then I stuck everything down and viola my finished card!

I love how this turned out and it has definitely turned out how I picture in my head! I hope that you guys have a fab weekend and I shall see you again next week!

Stay Crafty

Sam
