Since we are having you guys take a trip down memory lane and share some of your favourite creations with us (special link up for that HERE, ends Sept. 6, 11:59 p.m. ET), we thought it would be fun for our team members to do so as well.

Word Search Activity

 

Today we have a word search for you to complete but we're not going to make it easy for you because where would the fun be in that!

Below you will find a grid with 14 rows across and the same number down filled with letters. Within this group of letters you will find 20 WORDS ASSOCIATED WITH A BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION. Since we are celebrating such an big milestone, it is only fitting that our word search contain different kinds of vocabulary words that one might correlate with celebrating a birthday.

What you need to do…

First, right click on the image and scroll down to choose the save option associated with your specific browser so that you can save the Word Search Puzzle to your computer. Then you can print it out and start looking for the words contained within. Of course, you don't have to print it at all. You can just search for the words digitally if you want.

If you do print it, use a pencil (or pen if you're really brave) and start looking for words that are associated with "birthdays". Remember there are 20 WORDS in this puzzle for you to find. We'll even give you your first word on the house:

1. Start up in the left hand corner where you see the letter G. 
2. Read across and you will find A * M * E and S. 
3. This of course gives you the word GAMES.

 Now it is up to you to find the other 19 words!

Once you've come up with as many words as you are able to, please come back and leave a list of all your words in a comment on this post. I'll be leaving comment moderation on this post to ensure that it is fair for everyone.

Prizes!!!

Of course if we're going to make you go to all that effort to solve this puzzle, we're going to have some prizes for you to win!  We're going to have a few different levels for this particular game.

First, everyone who gets ALL 20 WORDS correct, will have their name thrown into a draw and ONE random winner will have a chance to win:

• $10 worth of images from the store.

For those who ONLY get between 15 and 19 words correct, your name will be thrown into a draw and ONE random winner will have a chance to win:

• $6 worth of images from the store.

For those who ONLY get between 10 and 14 words correct, your name will be thrown into a draw and ONE random winner will have a chance to win:

• $3 worth of images from the store.

Seems like pretty good incentive for joining in, doesn't it?!  Well, I hope that you agree and decide to join us during this special event to help celebrate our 10th birthday!

You will have until Saturday, September 9th, at 8:59 p.m., PT (11:59 p.m., ET), to complete the word search and submit the words you come up with, in a comment on this post. Please note that is possible that you may find words that are unintended. Only the 20 words from our master list will be accepted as correct guesses. Nick's Top 10 Favourite Images!

Scribbles Designs has so many amazing images. Thus, we thought it would be fun to share our team member's favourites. With close to 1000 images in the store, it is hard to narrow it down but each team member has done just that, coming up with a list of their top ten all-time favourite images. 

 

We're starting with Nick. Nick has been with our team since May 2013. She picked a few Christmas images since she loves to make Christmas cards (with the Woodland Santa as her #1 image to go for). She also picked the Dump Truck as she feels it´s great for all those masculine cards you need to make. She rounded out her list, which she found hard to pick, with some food and beverage images, a few animals, and a crafting image as well.

As promised, I am back with a special announcement! In celebration of our 10th Birthday Celebration, we are having a sale.

Hello everyone! Welcome to the Scribbles Designs Challenge blog. Whether you are new or one of our regulars, we are so thankful that you are here with us on our little spot in blogland. It is the 15th of the month and that means it is time for our next challenge to get started! 

 

If you have joined us here on the challenge blog during any previous month in 2023 or saw our post from earlier today (you can click HERE or scroll back one post to catch up on the details), you will know that this year is Scribble Designs' 10th year in business. Our overall theme has been one of "favourites". For each of our challenges so far this year, one of the team members chose their favourite theme. I figured we'd continue with that trend. So, our theme this challenge is Favourites and here is what you need to know to join us...

*You can choose ONE OR MORE of your FAVOURITES: theme, papers, images, colours, patterns, embellishments; or use a favourite edger, punch, embossing folder, technique, style, etc. For all intents and purposes, it is anything goes.*

Our incredibly talented women are here to share their inspiring creative work featuring projects related to our Favourites theme. We hope that you will enjoy the Scribbles Designs images and the creative direction that ensues. Be certain to visit their blogs so you can find out what their favourites are!

We're Celebrating 10 Years - Come Join Us!!!

Scribbles Designs is celebrating an incredible milestone this month

as we celebrate our 10th birthday! 

 On January 15, 2013, we had our very first challenge.

 

For both last year and this year, we moved our yearly birthday celebration to Aug./Sept. Sandy, the owner of Scribbles Designs, will be having a birthday herself sometime in the next 30 days, so it is a good time to celebrate both events.

We have an amazing and dedicated group of ladies with us.

Our ACTIVE full time team has a total of five members!

While I (Lisa) have been beside Sandy's side since the beginning, 

Nick came on just four months later in May of 2013,

and Suze started the following year in Jan. 2014. 

Helen joined in Jan. of 2018!

Just a few months ago we were lucky to  welcome Katrina!

 Pat, who is currently on a leave of absence, joined us in April of 2016

 after being a guest for a three month term.

Our part time team which we started in Mar. '18 currently has one active member!

 Janice, a former guest designer, become part of the Inspiration Team in Jan. 2019.

Diane Louise, a full time member from March '16-Jan. '19, joined the part time team at that time but she has been on personal leave for several months now.

Over the past year, we continued to have Monthly Challenges featuring projects from our full time members; as well as, our Monthly Inspiration Posts featuring projects from our part time members, in addition to any extra projects made by our full time DT!

 

We also supported other Challenge Blogs in the community through sponsorship!

  

We added the Scribbles Designs Gallery AND a Standout Scribblers Wall of Fame in January 2019!!!

The store has close to 1000 Scribbles Designs images.

With the addition of this month's free offering, 

there are now 209 FREE images!

We've accomplished a lot in the last
TEN YEARS
 

In approximately two weeks, we have an important announcement to make about upcoming changes, but for now, it is time to enjoy our birthday celebration!!!

 

 

What to expect over the next 30 days... 

 

This month, we will have our regular challenge as usual, which will begin at its regular time of 7:00 a.m. PST (10 EST). 

Since we've been around for 10 years, and the overall theme since January has been FAVOURITES, our full time team members will be sharing:

• their top 10 favourite Scribbles Designs images
• 10 of their favourite projects using Scribbles Designs images

 

We're also going to ask you to get involved by:

• sharing with us what your favourite Scribbles Designs image is
• linking up to 10 of your own favourite projects using Scribbles Designs images
  

  (we will be adding separate, special link ups for these two events...coming soon)

 

Plus, we also have some other fun events planned. Stay tuned for further details.
