Challenge #72 Midway: A Year in Review

Challenge #72
A Year in Review
Midway

Hello everyone! Happy New Year! We hope that you have have a wonderful holiday and that 2019 is a healthy, happy and prosperous year for you all!

It is the first of the month and that means that we've reached the midway point of our current challenge. Here is a refresher of what the theme is all about:

We've just said goodbye to 2018 and it is time to usher in 2019. As such, now provides with a good opportunity to reflect on the past year. As in any year, you will undoubtedly have had good times and bad ones too. I truly hope that the good times have far outweighed any bad ones you've encountered.

For this challenge, we thought it would be fun to sit back and reflect on the challenges that we've done during 2018. Some challenges had great participation, for ex. in challenge
#66 (Anything Goes) we had 32 entries and in challenge #65 (Make it Masculine) there were 31 people playing. These two challenges garnered the most participation all year. However, there were also challenges that didn't get that many players. For ex., we only had 10 people join in for challenge #63 (Bunny Hop) and a mere 5 people joined us for challenge #68 (Year of the Dog). Regardless of the number of people joining in, we at Scribbles Designs, enjoyed each of these themes. Our team members each have a favourite theme or two from the past year and the objective for you this challenge is to pick your FAVOURITE THEME from 2018 and CREATE A PROJECT BASED ON THAT THEME. Here is the list that you can choose from:
  • Birthday Party Blowout: Make a birthday themed project. Can be a card, decorations, invitations, etc. Original challenge link HERE.
  • Go for Green: The majority of your project should be in various shades of greens. Original challenge link HERE.
  • Bunny Hop: Use a bunny or rabbit as the main focus of your project. Original challenge link HERE. 10
  • Favouring the Feminine: Make your project girly in some nature--use florals, laces, ribbons or other items suitable for a feminine card or project. Original challenge link HERE.
  • Make it Masculine: Make your project masculine in some nature--use greens, blues and browns or plaids, stripes and/or other patterns often associated with a male card or project. Original challenge link HERE

  • Pick a Patterned Paper: Choose from one or more of the following patterns for your main background paper(s): dots, stripes, plaids, chevrons, or diamonds. Original challenge link HERE.
  • Winter is Coming: Some element of snow must be reflected on the creation: snowman, snow in general, icicles, frost, etc.  Original challenge link HERE.
  • Reindeer Games: Card must feature a reindeer, deer, moose, elk or caribou as the main image. Original challenge link HERE.
The choice is up to you. You can choose from something easy or something that challenges you a bit more. Whatever you decide, don't forget to let us know which theme you based your creation on. You can simply write the theme name next to the link up for Scribbles Designs at the bottom of your post. Or, if you'd prefer, you can leave us a comment. Just be sure to let us know so we can include you in the draw for the prize.

There are still two weeks left in the challenge and we hope that you will be able to join us here on our spot in blog-land. We have had just nine entries thus far, so we'd really love to see some more of you join in!
