Hello everyone! Welcome to the Scribbles Designs Challenge blog. Whether you are new or one of our regulars, we are so thankful that you are here with us on our little spot in blogland. It is the 15th of the month and that means it is time for our next challenge to get started! Our theme this month is Holiday Hoopla and here is what you need to know to join us...

We're almost halfway through the year. We've celebrated a few holidays and occasions so far including New Year's, Valentine's and Easter, and there are a few still to go including Halloween and Christmas. So, we thought this month was the perfect month to create any type of holiday card you'd like. Whether you want to get a patriotic card ready for the upcoming Canada Day (July 1st) or Independence Day (celebrated in the US on July 4th) celebrations, or you want to get ahead and get a Hallowe'en or Christmas card made, it is totally up to you. There are so many holidays and occasions to choose from and several rather obscure ones as well; so, we look forward to seeing the holiday direction your card takes!

Our incredibly talented women are here to share their inspiring creative work featuring projects related to our Holiday Hoopla theme. We hope that you will enjoy the Scribbles Designs images and the creative direction that ensues.

A Big Welcome to our Newest Design Team Member!

Hey there folks. I'm pleased to announce that we have a new member joining our team full time. Pippa, from Views from the Craftroom, will be officially joining us for the start of the next challenge. You might recognize her name and work as she was one of our Guest Scribblers during the first quarter of the year. You'll be seeing a project from her starting on Thursday so now is a good time to get to know her a bit better.

 

Although I cannot draw to save my life I have always loved colouring things in. Years ago, too many to recall now, a friend introduced me to stamping and the rest is history. I am now working on improving my colouring and learning new techniques along the way. I also knit, crochet, cross stitch (when the mood takes me) and love reading. I work part time in a local primary school as a teaching assistant until the end of the Summer Term when I am set to retire due to deterioration of a congenital heart problem. I am married to Tim, who retired from the ministry last September; we have two grown up daughters, Becky and Rachel, both now married and a mad cat called Finnegan.
